Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai car maker has unveiled the new North American Hyundai Elantra sedan in advance of the sedan’s debut at Los Angeles Auto Show and at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea. There are no other styling changes over the South Korean market model that was introduced locally in July but the modified digital display in the instrument panel and tail light crystals.
Hyundai Elantra U.S-spec model gets a larger displacement 1.8-liter gasoline unit with conventional port fuel injection rated at 148-horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai estimates that the U.S. model will return a highway efficiency of around 40 mpg. Completely redesigned, the Elantra looks impressive. It wears a ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design with four-door coupe styling, HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights and LED taillights.
Hyundai says for interior the cabin offers “advanced features not found on other compacts.” Goodies include heated rear seats, ambient lighting, and a color TFT LCD information display.
